US Unemployment Reports another Rise

According to a New York Times-breaking news alert; The U.S. Economy has lost a further 263,000 Jobs in September pushing up the Jobless Rate to 9.8% – Diminishing the prospect of any meaningful job growth by the end of the year.

American employers cut another 263,000 jobs last month, which was far more than initially forecast, forcing the unemployment rate to rise to 9.8% from 9.7% in August, as advised by the US Government.

Dean Baker, co-director of the Centre for Economic and Policy Research said that people had appeared to be celebrating the fact that they had in fact made it through the financial crisis, however, commented that the underlying issues are all still there.
