New Smartphone Will Challenge Apple iPhone

There’s a new mobile phone coming out towards the end of 2009 and it’s expected to have lots of features and an unusual amount of power, reports dailymail.co.uk.

As with many other phones it will have GPS and Bluetooth, a 4.8in touch screen, WiFi and masses of storage and to top it all, it will have a full version of Windows XP.

The new smartphone has been created by In Technology Group, a Chinese company. Basically the phone will be able to do everything that a computer can do. Analysts expect it could challenge the Apple iPhone.

The smartphone will have 1 GB of RAM meaning it will be able to run programs such as Microsoft Office, video and music playback.

The xpPhone may not be the best looking phone around but its applications will be familiar to most users.

A couple of disadvantages are the lack of a camera and the short battery life. There is a camera on the phone but it may not be quite what many users expect and will be best simply used for video calls. The battery will not run for more than 7 hours so you’ll have to carry your charger round with you just in case!
