A new business energy supplier has joined the market in the form of Hudson Energy, a subsidiary of The Just Energy Group.
The Just Energy Group supplies gas, electricity and green energy in North America and has now joined the UK energy market through its subsidiary, Hudson Energy Supply UK Ltd. The company will supply business electricity and business gas at customized and fixed prices.
Hudson Energy is one of the largest business energy suppliers across Canada and the United States. The company is also a leader in green energy solutions.
Moving into the UK energy market is the first step towards a move into Europe for Just Energy. President of Hudson Energy, Deborah Merril, said “We believe the UK market has the ideal characteristics for our entry into Europe. It has well established market rules that ease our entry into the commercial market through Hudson. Once established, it is a logical next step to enter the residential market, and then broaden our offerings to other countries in Europe”.
It therefore looks like once the company is established as a business electricity and gas supplier, the company will move into the domestic market and provide further competition for the Big Six energy providers.
Hudson Energy will allow brokers instant access to pricing information to enable them to generate prices for customers within minutes.
