Electric Trucks Help Business Maintain Top Spot
An East Midlands business has won the title “Greenest on the Planet” for the third year in a row, reports thisisbusiness-eastmidlands.co.uk. The Woodhall Spa business has largely achieved this by running battery operated 7.5 tonne electric trucks.
The TNT trucks are even recharged using renewable energy as the electricity supply at the depot comes from wind and hydro-electric power sources. It’s meant TNT has kept its spot at the top of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI).
The DJSI follows the performance of sustainability driven companies all over the world. These businesses are measured on their ethical, caring and responsible approach in various areas including economic, environmental and social. DJSI rankings showed TNT had the highest score of any company on the DJSI with a score of 95%.
