DECC releases quarterly energy prices
The Department of Energy and Climate Change has released the ‘Quarterly energy prices’ publication covering energy prices to domestic and industrial consumers and for all the major fuels.
This latest publication is the thirty-fourth issue of the ‘Quarterly Energy Prices’ and covers the
price data formerly included in ‘Energy Trends’ and the ‘Digest of UK Energy Statistics’.
The Quarterly Energy Prices document includes analyses of provisional Q2 2009 quarterly prices for industrial consumers along with annual 2008 prices, and provisional gas and electricity bills for domestic consumers in 2009. There is also a comparison of prices in the EU and G7 countries with those in the UK for 2008, sourced from IEA data.
The petroleum product prices are September 2009’s provisional prices, whilst the international unleaded petrol and diesel prices are for August 2009.
The publication – including all the tables as Excel files, is available online at;

Monthly updates relating to the price of petroleum products are also posted at the same address, as are any tables affected by changes in the GDP deflator.
The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) split from the Department for Business,
Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR), in October last year – The BERR then became the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS) The DECC energy statistics are currently hosted on the BIS website – www.berr.gov.uk and contain details of how to locate any references listed in previous editions of Quarterly Energy Prices.
