BP recently got rid of their London renewable energy HQ to concentrate their efforts on renewable energy in the U.S. They have now said that they have sold their wind farm in India, reports electric.co.uk.

BP have sold three wind farms to Green Infra Limited for around £61m. The independent energy provider is privately owned and operated.

However, despite getting rid of their Indian wind farms BP has said they will carry on with their solar projects in India and their Indian petrol business.

BP has been criticised recently for reducing their involvement in renewable energy while getting increasingly involved in carbon intensive projects such as tar sands. However, BP is becoming a dominant force in the U.S. wind industry and holds over 1,000 MW of wind energy generating capacity.
