Earlier this year, Daniel Keatings, secured a sponsorship deal with Opus Energy – where their financial support is helping to cover the cost of his coaching and training essentials – thus enabling him to dedicate his time solely to achieving success in gymnastics, and on Thursday 15th October at London’s O2 Arena Daniel made history at the World Championships by winning Britain’s first ever silver medal in the men’s All Around final.
According to an issued Opus Energy press release Daniel was nervous but remained confident and strong throughout his routines, and unfazed by a falter on the Pommel horse in qualifying, Daniel managed to keep his cool so that his performances went without a hitch.
Following his performance, Mr. Keatings stated:
“I am speechless and just trying to come to terms with it all. The atmosphere was crazy performance…
… It was a dream and now it has become reality, this is just a glimpse of what I can expect at the Olympics”
